| Located on the Gulf Coast and part of the United Arab Emirates, at the crossroads of the Middle East, Dubai is more on a par with a modern Western city than any other Arab city of a similar size. |
|
It is wealthy, cosmopolitan, multicultural, very glamorous and an important international business hub.
It plays host to rich horse races, international sporting events, there's up-market tax free shopping, fine beaches and a lively nightlife. Dubai is little more than six hours flying time from Northern Europe so it's
not surprising that it is now one of the fastest growing holiday destinations in the world.
Once a sandy desert, the Dubai skyline is now dotted with wonderful buildings of all shapes and sizes, creating a skyline fast on its way to rival that of New York’s. It features what is perhaps one of the most potent symbols of Dubai’s phenomenal success, the seven star Burj Al Arab hotel. Arguably the world’s finest hotel, this massive sculptured sail building rises 321 metres out of the sea and sits on its own island just off the shore. (7 star Burj Al Arab Hotel see image left)
Construction wise, it’s clear that Dubai aims to impress and it certainly does. The Palm island luxury resort development, nicknamed the eighth wonder of the world, rises out of the sea and is most impressive when viewed from the air. It’s currently being rivaled by Dubai’s “The World” development, where with enough cash you can own part of your own country.

Hot on the heels of "The World" is Dubai’s most ambitious and largest property development to date - the lavish "Dubailand"
A mega resort, it will offer endless attractions, amenities and whole cities dedicated to your pleasure from Kids City to Sports City, the list is endless and awe inspiring.
Dubai is one of the world's fastest growing cities but thankfully the planning process is approached with military precision and carefully controlled by the government.
With temperatures averaging between 25 -40 degrees year round, luxurious hotels, high class restaurants, excellent shopping and facilities that are second to none, Dubai is literally unbelievable - where else can you ski down snow covered slopes in 40 degree heat?
With property prices rising steadily and up to 15 million visitors expected by 2010, a timely investment in the upwardly spiralling success of Dubai makes perfect investment sense.

Things to do:
|
|
By day:
Sunbathe at one of the beautiful sandy beaches and swim in the crystal clear waters of the Gulf. Jumeriah beach is one of the most popular and every type of water sport is available there.
Dubai is a shopper’s paradise with many exclusive shopping malls in the city centre. A visit to the Gold Souk is unmissable, here they offer an amazing selection of fine jewellery, all at negotiable prices.
Getting away from the beach and shops you can always try skiing at the Dubai Ski centre or take part in a four-wheel-drive safari into the desert.
By night:
Eating out is a very cosmopolitan experience with a vast array of cuisine available ranging from the western style fast food chains to ultra-fine dining in one of the many luxurious hotel restaurants. Home to Gordon Ramsey’s first restaurant venture outside the UK, suffice to say food buffs will not be disappointed.
Dubai has a lively nightlife that predominantly revolves around the many chic bars and sophisticated cocktail lounges and nightclubs of the many luxurious hotels.
Increasingly it attracts top names from the world of entertainment with many famous pop stars and entertainers from the West and East performing all year round.
