Ski regions in Turkey have huge potential

Investors looking for property in Turkey have been advised to consider the nation's skiing regions.

According to ShelterOffshore.com, an expatriate lifestyle magazine, there will be "huge potential" in the skiing areas if money is invested in them.

Rhiannon Williamson, director of the company, said:"Turkey is such a stunning nation. It really has to be explored to be believed and yes, there is long term potential in the Turkish ski market." "But this is a longer term vision for the property and tourism markets in Turkey, and any investor making a purchase commitment in, say, Uldag which is about an hour and a half from Istanbul, will need to hold onto their property for a few years yet if they want to realize strong profit," Ms Williamson continued.

Meanwhile, Ms Williamson also predicted significant tourism increases for Turkey in the upcoming year and suggested that a number of visitors would be returning to look at the property market. She hailed better transport, cheap flights and new legislation to allow mortgages in Turkey as some reasons why the nation will be popular in 2008.
