Turkey's property market set to benefit from airport redevelopment

Turkey's property market is set to benefit from a range of new flight routes to and from the nation, it has emerged.

A recent report in Finance Daily stated that several airports in the country are being redeveloped and this will allow more holidaymakers to visit Turkey - potentially boosting its rental market.

This could be good news for investors looking to purchase property in Turkey.

Developments include a "significant" expansion to Antalya Airport and a £75 million revamp for Dalaman Airport.

The publication also noted that BMi is including Turkey as a destination among its 17 new routes, while British Airways has announced plans to travel between Gatwick and Antalya three times a week.

According to Airflights.co.uk, approximately 20 million foreign visitors head to Turkey annually, enjoying the sights and sounds of towns such as Dalaman and Bodrum.

Figures from the World Tourism Organisation show that the nation led the way for tourism growth in Europe last year.

Its tourism sector registered a growth of 18 per cent.
